Amazon Advertising seeks a Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Live Sports Advertising Sales team. We are looking for a high caliber individual to support the pricing & yield function for our Live Sports Advertising Sales. In this highly visible and strategic role, you will build scalable finance processes, analytical frameworks and demonstrate thought leadership to maximize monetization of our Sports Advertising business. You will apply both business and analytical acumen in a fast-paced, ambiguous and innovative environment.
A successful candidate will be comfortable using analytical tools to extract metrics, have the ability to manage tight deadlines, and achieve effective results in a dynamic environment. They demonstrate a passion for the sports industry and a desire to be on the forefront of its evolution to Streaming TV. They are a self-starter who demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
This role will require partnering with Product and Sales leaders to understand capabilities coupled with an assessment of industry pricing trends. The role will require long-term thinking and a holistic strategy to maximize monetization of our Sports Advertising packages.
Key job responsibilities
- Create, prepare, and present yearly targets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly/weekly financial reports
- Develop pricing strategies for our Sports Advertising Packages
- Build a 'test and learn' culture that experiments with different pricing models
- Uphold and enforce an environment of strong financial controllership
- Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and analysis, problem solving, and clear communication of insights and recommendations.
- Contribute with deep-dive analyses and insights in Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 1+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
- Experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups)
- Experience using data to influence business decisions- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Previous work experience in Advertising Finance

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $51,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
