Job Description

As we look to grow Air Cargo, we need leaders with an entrepreneurial spirit, unrelenting tenacity to get things done, deep curiosity about how things work and the ability to simplify and solve complex problems with composure and exceptional attention to detail.

We are looking for a driven, results-oriented Sr. Creative Director to join the Amazon Air Cargo team. You will have the opportunity to define and develop compelling, scalable designs that form the foundation of our campaigns, helping our customers explore current and future air cargo solutions. You'll craft compelling visual solutions across digital, motion, photography for inclusion in integrated campaigns for our customers around the world, while ensuring brand consistency and meeting critical deadlines.

The successful candidate will be a “digital native” with a strong visual design background who can think and act both strategically and tactically: from the formation of plans, to the brass tacks of creative execution. The Sr. Creative Director will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail. Amazon Air Cargo is looking for a candidate who is an experienced visual storyteller with a successful track record of engaging business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) customers.

Key job responsibilities
Brand and Campaign Development
- Lead visual development for integrated marketing campaigns across all channels
- Maintain and evolve comprehensive brand guidelines and design systems and brand identity elements including logos, typography systems, and visual guidelines
- Direct the creation of marketing collateral including sales materials, presentations, and digital assets
- Design experiential and environmental graphics for events and installations
- Create compelling data visualizations and infographics to explain complex technical concepts
Digital Design and Production
- Create responsive design systems for web and mobile applications
- Direct the creation of email marketing templates and digital newsletters
- Develop digital display advertising campaigns across multiple formats and platforms
- Direct animation and motion graphics for digital platforms
- Identify opportunities to incorporate emerging trends, as well as digital and GenAI innovations, into creative and marketing strategies.
Social and Digital Leadership
- Create innovative digital advertising campaigns for both organic and paid social content across display, video, and social formats
- Develop platform-specific visual strategies that align with current trends and best practices
- Drive creative excellence across all social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
- Design scroll-stopping motion graphics, animations, and short-form video content optimized for each platform's specifications and audience behaviors
Graphic/Visual Design Development
- Create high-impact marketing collateral including sales decks, one-pagers, brochures, and white papers
- Develop custom iconography and illustration systems that simplify complex technical concepts
- Design executive-level presentations and internal communication materials
- Create style guides and asset libraries for global team usage
- Design materials for print advertising, out-of-home, and other non-digital formats

About the team

- Portfolio showcasing functional expertise with the ability to articulate ideas in print, video, social, digital, events and experiential that effectively markets products or services- Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
- Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
- Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote
- Expert knowledge of current digital marketing and social media trends and best practices
- Experience with motion design and video direction tools including: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro or Cinema 4D or Blender
- Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree, or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
