You have 5+ years of experience in full-stack engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable and reliable systems. Your expertise in Java and JavaScript allows you to create robust applications that meet user needs effectively. You are comfortable working with both frontend and backend technologies, and you understand the importance of cross-team collaboration in delivering successful projects.

Your experience includes working with frameworks like React, enabling you to develop intuitive user interfaces that enhance user experience. You have a solid understanding of cloud technologies and are familiar with deploying applications in cloud environments. You are also knowledgeable about best practices in security and privacy, ensuring that the systems you build are not only functional but also secure.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including UX designers, product managers, and legal teams. What you'll do

In this role, you will be instrumental in building and evolving mission-critical infrastructure that supports Waymo's commercialization systems. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to develop systems that integrate seamlessly with the Waymo Driver and other components of the ride-hailing service. Your work will involve addressing cross-cutting problems that require innovative solutions and a deep understanding of both technical and functional aspects of the business.

You will help design and implement tooling that underpins the infrastructure, ensuring that it is reliable, scalable, and efficient. Your contributions will directly impact the success of Waymo's autonomous driving technology, as you work to enhance the systems that power the ride-hailing service.

You will also engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
