Esri is hiring a Product Engineer II to build the next generation of ArcGIS Enterprise. You'll work with Java, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies to deliver mapping and analytics capabilities. This position requires a strong technical voice in product development.
You have a solid background in software engineering, particularly in building distributed systems — your experience includes working with cloud technologies and Kubernetes, which are essential for developing scalable applications. You possess strong analytical skills and can translate customer needs into technical requirements, ensuring that the product meets user expectations. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively collaborate with product and development engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
You are detail-oriented and have experience in developing and implementing test plans and test cases — you understand the importance of software quality and stability, and you are adept at troubleshooting and resolving customer issues. Your passion for geospatial technologies drives you to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field, enabling you to contribute meaningfully to the design and development of innovative solutions.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with agile methodologies. If you have a background in geospatial software or have worked with mapping technologies, that would be an added advantage. You are eager to share your knowledge and workflows through help topics, blog articles, and presentations, contributing to the broader community.
In this role, you will be instrumental in the design and development of the next generation of ArcGIS Enterprise — your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to build new software releases that enhance mapping and analytics capabilities. You will actively participate in the design phase, providing insights and recommendations for both server backend and UI development.
You will develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring that all software releases meet the highest quality standards. Your role will also involve reviewing and analyzing automated test results, reporting on software quality and stability, and certifying software quality before release. You will troubleshoot and triage customer issues, working closely with support teams to ensure timely resolutions.
