Overview

Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.

Who you are

You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, ready to tackle the challenges of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure. Your hands-on experience in troubleshooting and operating complex systems makes you a vital part of the team. You understand the importance of uptime and are committed to ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You thrive in environments where you can apply your technical skills to real-world problems, and you are eager to learn and grow in your role. You are detail-oriented and have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they escalate. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities as needed.

Desirable

Experience with data center operations or similar environments is a plus, as is familiarity with diesel generators and three-phase electrical systems. You may also have knowledge of cooling systems and associated equipment, which will further enhance your ability to contribute to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and mechanical systems that support our data center operations. You will work with stand-by diesel generators, UPS systems, and various cooling systems to ensure optimal performance. Your expertise will help maintain an extraordinary uptime of 99.999%, which is critical for our global digital experiences. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists, contributing to the overall success of AWS Infrastructure Services. Your role will involve hands-on work, requiring you to be on-site and actively engaged with the equipment and systems you support. You will also participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
