Senior Software Engineer I - Android

Who you are

You have a strong background in mobile development, particularly with Android applications, and are proficient in Kotlin and Java. You understand the importance of user experience and can translate end-user requirements into effective technical solutions. Your experience includes integrating backend services to enhance mobile user experiences, ensuring applications are fast and reliable. You are a problem-solver who enjoys collaborating with product and design teams to create delightful user experiences. You take ownership of product modules and features, guiding them from requirements gathering to deployment. You are also comfortable troubleshooting and providing technical guidance to your peers.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and build advanced, scalable applications for Careem's Everything App, focusing on delivering a seamless mobile experience. You will collaborate closely with product and design teams to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include integrating with backend services to ensure high performance and reliability of mobile applications. You will own end-to-end product modules, from gathering requirements to going live, and will be responsible for code design and reviews. You will also troubleshoot issues and act as a consultant to your peers on technical matters, advocating for best practices in mobile development.
