Overview

Google is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineering Manager for Google Cloud to lead a customer-facing technical team. You'll manage hosted services and advocate for enterprise customer needs while utilizing programming languages such as Java, Python, and SQL. This role requires 13 years of experience in technical support or software development.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math, or equivalent practical experience. With 13 years of experience in technical support, professional services, software development, or product operations management, you have a strong foundation in the technical landscape. You have at least 3 years of experience managing a technical, customer-facing team, demonstrating your leadership capabilities. Your experience includes managing hosted services or SaaS, and you are familiar with programming and scripting languages such as Java, C, C++, .NET, Go, Python, shell, Perl, and JavaScript. You possess strong troubleshooting skills and have supported applications like web services, databases, and data pipelines, working with both Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems. You excel in managing enterprise customer relationships and advocating for their needs across cross-functional teams. Your analytical skills are complemented by your ability to use structured query language to analyze data effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to providing technical solutions for Google Cloud customers. You will be responsible for resolving high-profile escalations and improving the customer experience by driving initiatives that enhance their likelihood of success. You will develop goals and priorities for your team, ensuring they are aligned with customer needs and company objectives. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure timely and thorough issue identification and customer communication. You will also focus on ongoing technical skill development within your team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement. As a leader, you will advocate for customers, ensuring their voices are heard in product development and service enhancements.
