Payments Process Owner - Global Finance Operations

Who you are

You are a detail-oriented finance operations professional with a strong background in accounts payable and procurement. You have advanced Excel skills, including PIVOTS and VLOOKUPs, which you use to analyze data and drive operational excellence. Your experience includes managing payment processing functions and supporting various operational tasks. You are a proven operator and change champion who enjoys getting hands dirty in the details of financial processes. You have outstanding customer service skills and a passion for process improvements, making you an ideal fit for this role.

Desirable

Experience with Alteryx or other transformation tools is a plus, as is familiarity with payment processing technologies and standard payment methods such as ACH, Wire, and SEPA. You are comfortable with report writing and process documentation, which are essential for executing P2P processes to the highest standard. Your problem-solving skills are advanced, allowing you to tackle complex issues effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the Payment Processing function for Stripe, overseeing various aspects including third-party payments, travel and expenses, legal, tax, mergers and acquisitions, and urgent payment processing requests. You will support the Global Procure to Pay team by assisting with a variety of operational tasks related to 'Keep the Lights On' activities. Your responsibilities will include executing P2P processes to the highest standard and obtaining a functional understanding of all upstream processes, such as supplier management, invoice processing, auditing, and employee expense management. You will act as a liaison between different teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

You will also be responsible for driving operational excellence and process improvements within the Payments function. This includes identifying areas for enhancement and implementing solutions that streamline processes and improve efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that payment processing aligns with overall business objectives and meets the needs of stakeholders.
