Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript. Your background includes at least 7 years of experience in building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, and you possess 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role. You have also spent 5 years in a people management or team leadership role, demonstrating your ability to guide and mentor engineers effectively.

You may hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, which further enhances your qualifications. Your experience in a complex, matrixed organization has equipped you with the skills to navigate and lead within intricate team dynamics. You are passionate about optimizing code and ensuring that your team can do the same, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Google, you will take on the responsibility of managing project goals while contributing to product strategy.
