Who you are

You have a degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, and bring over 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. Your background includes proven experience in supplier relationship and category management, as well as contract negotiation. You excel in managing multi-stakeholder projects and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with various teams.

Your experience in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment is a plus, as it has equipped you with the knowledge to navigate the unique challenges of procurement in this sector. You are adept at developing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships across categories, ensuring that procurement strategies align with business objectives. You are proactive in identifying and mitigating supplier risks, ensuring business continuity and driving innovation through supplier collaboration.

What you'll do

As a Senior Sourcing Manager at Babbel, you will lead strategic supplier communications alongside the respective business teams, fostering strong relationships that enhance collaboration. You will manage complex sourcing projects, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), supplier selection, and high-value contract negotiations. Your role will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement strategies are aligned with the overall business objectives.

You will monitor supplier performance and lead improvement initiatives in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams, driving value creation through market insights and supplier collaboration. Your expertise will help shape and professionalize the young Procurement team at Babbel, contributing to the strategic development of supplier relations. You will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement within the procurement process, ensuring that Babbel remains competitive in the market.
