You are proficient in Python and have hands-on experience with Django, which is essential for managing translation systems. Your understanding of Unicode MessageFormat and localization standards allows you to effectively shape the user experience across various platforms. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Localization Team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of Mozilla's translation management system, Pontoon, which is built on Django. You will work closely with other engineers and community members to enhance localization features across Mozilla products, ensuring that they meet the needs of users worldwide. Your role will involve engaging with internationalization features that improve the Firefox experience, as well as contributing to open-source libraries like moz-l10n. You will also participate in architectural discussions and help drive the implementation of best practices in localization and internationalization.
Mozilla offers a competitive salary range of €53,000—€71,000 EUR for this position, along with the opportunity to work remotely from France.
