You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in cloud data solutions — you've designed and implemented scalable systems that handle large volumes of data and ensure high availability. Your expertise in Azure technologies is complemented by a solid understanding of database management and analytics. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

You possess deep knowledge of Azure services, including Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Factory — you've successfully integrated these services into applications that drive business intelligence and analytics. Your experience with real-time data processing and telemetry systems makes you an ideal candidate for this role.

You are familiar with building and maintaining operational databases — your background includes working with both relational and non-relational databases, and you understand the nuances of data storage and retrieval in cloud environments. You have a strong foundation in software development practices, including version control, testing, and deployment — you are comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and have experience in agile methodologies. What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Azure Data engineering team, you will play a crucial role in building the foundational layer of the Time Series Database for Azure Monitor — your work will enable near-real-time telemetry and health insights for Microsoft services and customer workloads hosted on Azure. You will collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define system requirements and design scalable architectures that meet business needs.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining operational database systems — this includes ensuring data integrity, optimizing performance, and implementing best practices for data management. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and scalability of Azure's data platform, empowering developers to create data-first applications.
