Job Description

Come build the future with us! Amazon Ads is seeking a Principal, Product Marketing Strategy & Ops leader to lead strategic initiatives that shape how we bring our advertising solutions to market. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with product, marketing, sales, and training orgs to identify top areas of opportunity to define and optimize our product portfolio and customer strategy and go-to-market process. You’ll develop new strategies, frameworks, business requirements, and SOPs that align ads-wide priorities and frameworks and support large-scale change management initiatives that ensure employee adoption and clarity across the Ads organization. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the GTM process for advertising products and solutions, a passion for audience insights and strategy, and have delivered large-scale strategic and operational initiatives with demonstrable impact.

Key job responsibilities
- Oversees large-scale strategic workstreams across Amazon Ads, uniting product, sales, product marketing, and training efforts in service of maximizing customer comprehension and product adoption.
- Develops product portfolio strategy (mix and priorities) that aligns with customer needs, Amazon Ads goals, and uniquely positions Amazon Ads within the broader advertising landscape
- Develops a consistent strategy to managing product lifecycle post-launch (expansion, deprecation, and ongoing support between feature launches)
- Identifies top areas of opportunity to refine GTM efforts to streamline decision-making or bolster revenue/adoption, diagnosing root causes, outlining and aligning with key stakeholders on a path to resolution, and creating and implementing inspection mechanisms.
- Partners with internal transformation teams to drive org-wide change management initiatives
- Helps define how Amazon Ads aligns GTM processes with KPIs to drive measurable customer impact
- Defines KPIs and establish mechanisms to inspect results; continually refine GTM practices across distinct product, sales, and marketing organizations, providing regular leadership progress updates.- 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams- Experience with creating GTM initiatives at scale
- Experience working cross-functionally across marketing, product management, analytics, UX, and research
- Experience in digital advertising or ad tech industry
- Understanding of product lifecycle management
- Track record of driving organizational transformation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
