Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop innovative solutions for turbopump and injector propulsion technology. You'll support the production of critical engine hardware and utilize skills in AutoCAD and Linux. This role requires expertise in manufacturing processes and engineering principles.

Who you are

You have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, particularly in the aerospace sector, with experience in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes. Your expertise includes machining, welding, and non-destructive testing, and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where precision and reliability are paramount. You are a problem solver who enjoys analyzing manufacturing discrepancies and leading teams to find effective solutions. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams ensures that you can contribute to the design and development of new hardware effectively.

You possess a solid understanding of propulsion systems and the manufacturing processes involved in producing high-performance components. Your technical skills are complemented by your creativity and innovative thinking, allowing you to develop novel solutions that push the boundaries of current technology. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality in all aspects of your work.

Desirable

Experience with advanced mechanical assembly and heat treatment processes is a plus. What you'll do

As a Manufacturing Engineer at SpaceX, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production of Falcon and Merlin engine sub-assemblies. You will analyze recurring manufacturing discrepancies and lead root cause analysis efforts to improve hardware performance.
