Amazon is hiring a Network Development Engineer to enhance the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks. You'll work with Unix systems engineering and collaborate with various teams to deliver innovative solutions. This role requires experience in network engineering and AWS.
You have a strong background in network and Unix systems engineering, with a passion for delivering simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions. Your experience includes working on complex network infrastructures, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can partner with diverse teams to drive innovation. You understand the importance of stability and sustainability in network design and operation, and you are eager to contribute to the success of AWS Infrastructure Services.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can navigate the challenges of managing thousands of variables impacting the supply chain. Your ability to communicate effectively with software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists, will be key to your success in this role. You are committed to maintaining high standards for safety and security while ensuring that customers have continual access to the cloud services they rely on.
Experience with AWS services and a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure will be advantageous. Familiarity with network configuration standards and tools, as well as collaboration with Systems and Software Engineers, will enhance your ability to contribute to the team.
As a Network Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the Backbone Enterprise and Regional Engineering (BERE) team. Your responsibilities will include partnering with the broader Infrastructure organization to establish configuration standards and tools that facilitate the smooth rollout of new designs and products. You will collaborate closely with Systems and Software Engineers to ensure that network solutions are implemented efficiently and effectively.
You will be involved in the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure, contributing to the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of AWS data centers, ensuring that customers have uninterrupted access to the services they depend on.
You will also engage in problem-solving activities, addressing complex challenges that arise in the network infrastructure. Your ability to analyze and optimize network performance will be essential in driving improvements and ensuring that AWS maintains its reputation for reliability and innovation.
