Overview

Carvana is seeking an Autobody Prepper to join their team in Heath, OH. You'll be responsible for priming vehicles and performing final sanding before painting, along with buffing and paint mixing. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of professional automotive painting experience.

You have at least 1 year of professional automotive painting experience, which has equipped you with the skills necessary to excel in a fast-paced environment. You understand the importance of precision and attention to detail when it comes to preparing vehicles for painting. Your experience has taught you the value of teamwork and collaboration, as you will be working closely with other team members to ensure that every vehicle meets Carvana's high standards. You are eager to learn and grow within the company, taking advantage of training programs to enhance your skills and advance your career.

You are a team player who is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. You understand that sometimes this requires flexibility, including the willingness to work mandatory overtime based on business needs. You are reliable and punctual, ensuring that you contribute positively to the team's overall performance. You possess a valid driver’s license and can communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Desirable

While not required, any additional certifications or training in automotive painting techniques would be a plus. Familiarity with state-of-the-art tools and equipment used in automotive painting can also enhance your candidacy. A strong work ethic and a positive attitude will help you thrive in this role.

What you'll do

As an Autobody Prepper at Carvana, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting by priming and performing final sanding. You will also engage in buffing, touch-up work, paint mixing, and airbrushing as needed. Your attention to detail will ensure that every vehicle is ready for the painting process, meeting the high standards set by Carvana. You will work in one of our high-tech Inspection Centers, utilizing state-of-the-art tools to deliver quality results.

You will collaborate with other team members to maintain a smooth workflow, ensuring that vehicles are completed on time and to the satisfaction of our customers. Your role will be crucial in helping Carvana maintain its reputation as the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history. You will also participate in training programs designed to enhance your skills and knowledge in automotive painting, allowing you to progress in your career as the company grows.
