Samsara is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Platform & Infrastructure organization. You'll oversee the development of foundational systems that drive Samsara's products, utilizing skills in GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes. This role requires significant experience in software engineering management.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in managing engineering teams and delivering high-quality software solutions. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation, and you have a proven track record of mentoring engineers to help them grow in their careers. You possess deep technical expertise in areas such as container orchestration, data storage, and real-time data ingestion, which enables you to guide your team effectively in building scalable systems. You are passionate about leveraging IoT data to drive actionable insights and improve operational efficiency, aligning with Samsara's mission to transform physical operations.

You are adept at navigating complex technical challenges and have experience with foundational infrastructure technologies. Your familiarity with GraphQL and cloud platforms like AWS allows you to make informed architectural decisions that enhance product capabilities. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable balancing multiple priorities while ensuring your team remains focused on delivering impactful results. You understand the importance of data insights and reporting in driving business value, and you are committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement within your team.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Manager at Samsara, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for building the foundational systems that support our diverse product offerings. Your role will involve overseeing the development of data insights and reporting capabilities, as well as integration features that enhance the user experience across our platform.
