Enviva is seeking a Mechanical Technician to ensure proper preventive maintenance on critical machinery in pellet manufacturing. You'll work with various equipment and tools, requiring skills in AutoCAD and Linux. This position is based in Epes, AL.
You have a strong foundation in mechanical systems and maintenance, ideally with experience in a manufacturing environment. You understand the importance of preventive maintenance and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently. Your hands-on experience with tools and equipment allows you to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance on critical and auxiliary machinery associated with pellet manufacturing. You will diagnose and troubleshoot issues with motors, fans, gearboxes, conveyors, and pumps, ensuring that all equipment is in optimal condition. You will assist in the assembly, installation, and repair of various equipment and parts, using hand and power tools as necessary. Your role will also involve maintaining detailed reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the lubrication and preventive maintenance programs. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
