You'll work with technologies like Python, SQL, and Apache Spark to implement solutions for data engineering and machine learning. This role requires 5+ years of experience in a technical architecture or consulting role.
You have over 5 years of experience in data engineering, data science, or technical architecture, ideally in a pre-sales or consulting capacity. Your background includes building distributed data systems, and you are comfortable programming in Python and SQL, with a knack for debugging complex issues. You have experience working with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and you are familiar with data engineering technologies like Apache Spark and Hadoop.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with customers and product teams to develop effective solutions. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps you guide customers through the competitive landscape and best practices. You are passionate about technology and eager to promote and recruit contributors for Databricks-inspired open-source projects.
Experience with machine learning workflows and SQL analysis is a plus. Familiarity with integrating cloud services and third-party applications will enhance your ability to deliver comprehensive solutions. You are proactive in developing technical champions among customers, ensuring they understand how to leverage Databricks to solve their business challenges.
In this role, you will report to the Field Engineering Manager and work closely with the sales team to provide technical leadership. Your primary responsibility will be to consult on Big Data architectures and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects. You will span various domains, including data engineering, data science, and machine learning, ensuring that customers can effectively utilize the Databricks platform.
You will collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to share knowledge and support each other in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your expertise will help customers validate integrations with cloud services and homegrown tools, ensuring seamless functionality across their systems. You will also be responsible for developing architectures and solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives.
