Benchling is seeking a Product Designer to create AI-driven user experiences that enhance scientific workflows. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design impactful features. This role requires experience in product design and a curiosity for new technology.
You have a strong background in product design, ideally with experience in designing user experiences for technology products. You understand the importance of user-centered design and have a portfolio that showcases your ability to create intuitive and engaging interfaces. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers, scientists, and other designers to bring innovative ideas to life. Your curiosity about technology drives you to explore new tools and methodologies that can enhance user experiences. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment and can ideate and iterate quickly based on feedback.
Experience with AI or machine learning products is a plus, as is familiarity with design systems and scalable design practices. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating delightful user experiences that make a difference in people's lives.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end user experience for Benchling's AI features, ensuring that they are not only functional but also engaging for users. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists and engineers, to understand their needs and translate them into design solutions. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of scientific workflows, helping researchers focus on what they find most engaging. You will be responsible for creating design systems that ensure consistency across products and features. You will also participate in user research and testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs, ensuring that the final product meets user needs and expectations.
