Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned DevSecOps Engineer to join our team and drive the integration of security into our DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps, a passion for security, and a proven ability to automate and streamline processes. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of our applications and infrastructure throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Security Integration: Incorporate security best practices into our DevOps pipeline, ensuring that security is considered from the earliest stages of development to production.
Security Testing: Implement and maintain automated security testing tools and processes, such as vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and code analysis.
Threat Modeling: Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks in our applications and infrastructure.
Secure Configuration Management: Enforce secure configuration standards for all systems and applications using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Incident Response: Develop and maintain incident response plans, and participate in incident response activities when necessary.
Security Awareness: Promote security awareness within the team and organization through training, education, and communication.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure that security is a shared responsibility.
Qualifications:
DevOps Experience: 3+ years of experience in DevOps roles, with a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud infrastructure.
Security Knowledge: Solid understanding of security principles, practices, and frameworks, such as OWASP, NIST, and CIS.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and configuration management tools.
Security Certifications: Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex security concepts.
