Job Description

Are you passionate about revolutionizing how millions of customers buy groceries? Do you want to lead the future of checkout technology across Amazon's global grocery footprint? We are seeking a Senior Manager, Product Management - Technical to drive the checkout experience across all of Amazon's grocery stores worldwide.

As part of the Worldwide Grocery Stores organization, you will define and execute the product strategy for checkout technology across Whole Foods Market, Amazon Fresh, and other Amazon grocery banners. This includes traditional point-of-sale systems, self-checkout, our smart shopping carts (Dash Carts), and new AI-powered innovations that will transform how customers complete their grocery shopping journey. You'll lead a team of product managers and work directly with business leaders across Amazon grocery to deliver seamless, efficient checkout experiences at global scale.

Key job responsibilities
As the senior product leader for checkout, you will:
• Define and execute the global product strategy and roadmap for checkout technology across Amazon's grocery stores.
• Lead and develop a team of product managers, setting clear vision and empowering them to deliver exceptional results.
• Own the product lifecycle for next-generation checkout solutions, from ideation through scaled deployment across store formats.
• Drive the evolution and scaling of existing checkout technologies including POS systems, self-checkout, and Dash Carts.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to create breakthrough checkout experiences that delight customers.
• Partner directly with grocery business leaders and operations teams to understand customer and associate needs and translate them into compelling product requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, applied science, and design teams to deliver critical systems that operate reliably at scale.

About the team

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product- Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
