Who you are

You have experience in program management, particularly in the field of automation and controls. Your background includes working with maintenance teams to identify and resolve issues within control systems for various automated equipment. You are skilled in developing technical training materials and delivering effective training sessions to technicians, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle the systems they work with. You maintain a strong focus on compliance with safety and operational standards, driving adherence to OSHA, NFPA70E, and NEC regulations. Your ability to mentor and guide maintenance personnel in developing their skills is a key strength, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can share your expertise.

Desirable

Experience with automated systems such as conveyance, sortation systems, and robotic systems is a plus. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and ticketing systems will enhance your effectiveness in this role. You are comfortable traveling to various locations to provide hands-on training and support, and you have a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.

What you'll do

In this role, you will serve as the resident expert in automation and controls, leading the technical training program for controls technicians across the network. You will develop and execute training classes tailored to the specific needs of technicians, ensuring they have the skills necessary to maintain and troubleshoot automated systems effectively. Your responsibilities will include reviewing vendor quotes and service agreements, providing input on planned maintenance, and acting as a technical support resource for installation and operational qualification at new launch sites. You will document all work in the CMMS and ensure that all maintenance activities are compliant with safety and operational standards. Additionally, you will participate in the interview and selection process for new controls technicians, helping to build a strong team of skilled professionals.
