Amazon is hiring a System Software Development Engineer to develop automation for recovering devices in the AWS cloud. You'll work with Python, Bash, and Linux in Haifa. This role requires at least 4 years of experience in software design and debugging.
You have a BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, along with at least 4 years of experience in software design and debugging. Your background includes working with multidisciplinary systems, and you are proficient in Python coding and Bash scripting. You possess an in-depth understanding of Linux systems and environments, and you have advanced knowledge of software engineering design patterns. Your experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) tools will be invaluable in this role.
As a System Software Development Engineer at Amazon, you will take part in the development of cutting-edge products within disruptive system architecture. You will design and develop new mechanisms for recovery on devices in the AWS cloud, ensuring that the infrastructure remains reliable and efficient. Your responsibilities will include designing test and testing automation for the recovery mechanisms, as well as developing the testing environment and tests for these new recovery mechanisms. You will own and maintain full support of the recovery software, collaborating closely with Annapurna Labs product teams to enable new processes for in-fleet defects detection. Additionally, you will create high-level documentation and design new tools and scripts for in-fleet analysis of device failures. Your role may require you to travel a few times a year as needed.
