Pushpay is seeking a Software Development Engineer 3 to develop internet-scale software products. You'll work with Java and JavaScript in a hybrid work environment based in Auckland. This role requires 3+ years of relevant experience.
You have 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience, particularly in developing internet-scale multi-user web, mobile, or cloud software products. Your background includes applicable tertiary qualifications that have equipped you with the necessary skills to excel in this role. You are currently residing in New Zealand or are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident with valid travel conditions. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Experience with cloud technologies and mobile application development is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and a passion for continuous learning will help you succeed in this role. As a Software Development Engineer 3 at Pushpay, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will collaborate with other software engineers, SREs, QA professionals, and product managers to deliver high-quality software products. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed. You will also engage in troubleshooting and debugging to resolve issues in a timely manner.
You will contribute to the architecture and design of new features, ensuring they align with the overall product vision. Your input will be crucial in enhancing the performance and scalability of our applications. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their careers. Additionally, you will participate in sprint planning and retrospectives, contributing to the agile development process.
