SpaceX is hiring an Electrician to handle the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems at Starbase, TX. This role requires 3+ years of experience and an active electrician’s license.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 3 years of work experience in commercial equipment maintenance and repair. You hold an active electrician’s license and have experience with 3-phase electrical systems. You are skilled in practicing safety requirements and OSHA standards when working with hazardous energy and heavy loads. You adapt well within a team setting and can identify and implement efficient paths of action to ensure effective work environments.
As an Electrician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. You will perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe isolation and verification of zero energy state. Troubleshooting new and existing electrical systems, including machinery, will be a key part of your role. You will also conduct preventative repair and maintenance of electrical systems, devices, and equipment, ensuring they operate effectively. Working from instructions using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics will be essential, as will testing electrical circuits to ensure their operability, phase rotation, and conductivity. You will install electrical wiring and components to design and code specifications and operate test equipment like volt/ohmmeters, meggers, and circuit tracers.
