Checkr is seeking an AR Accounting Lead to oversee the global Accounts Receivable process, ensuring accuracy and driving automation. You'll manage cash applications and reconciliations while leading an offshore team. This role requires strong accounting skills and experience in process innovation.
You have a strong background in accounting with a focus on accounts receivable processes — your experience includes managing cash applications, reconciliations, and dispute management. You thrive in roles that require precision and innovation, and you have a knack for driving automation in financial processes. You possess excellent leadership skills, having managed teams effectively, and you understand the importance of setting service level agreements and performing quality reviews. Your ability to bridge accounting and systems makes you an ideal candidate for this role, as you ensure that the AR subledger, bank activity, and general ledger remain perfectly aligned. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining SOX-compliant documentation, ensuring that all processes are transparent and accountable.
Experience with various payment methods such as ACH, wire, and credit card processing is a plus. Familiarity with tools that enhance automation in accounting processes will set you apart. You are comfortable working with offshore teams and have a proven track record of mentoring and developing talent in a remote environment.
As the AR Accounting Lead at Checkr, you will oversee the daily cash application and reconciliation processes across multiple payment methods. You will own the AR subledger to GL reconciliation process, ensuring completeness and accuracy while maintaining SOX-compliant documentation. Your role will involve managing and mentoring an offshore AR team, setting SLAs, and performing quality reviews to drive continuous improvement. You will be responsible for resolving unapplied cash and managing disputes effectively, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed smoothly. You will collaborate closely with other departments to align accounting practices with overall business objectives, contributing to the company's mission of building a trusted workplace.
