Job Description

This is the opportunity for you.
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Principal Product Manager for Finance Automation Payables Technology team. As a Principal PMT, you will own defining and delivering invoice processing tax products for Amazon Accounts Payable Finance Operations. In this role, you will collaborate with both technical partners like software engineers, system engineers, principal engineers, technical program managers, cross-org technical stakeholders and non-technical partners like Finance Operations leaders, tax, accounting and legal teams while defining technology solutions. You have strong experience in defining and managing enterprise level technology products / services. You are able to identify opportunities to develop generic software solutions that caters to diverse range of invoice processing customers. You are a highly self-motivated person, can successfully work in a rapidly changing ambiguous environment and deliver independently. You are extremely customer obsessed, possess strong communication skills and able to influence your stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
- Strategic: Own and define long term vision and strategy for your products
- Customer focused: Be the voice of your customers, perform user research to gain insights and feedback to improve your product
- Product Management: Develop and own your product roadmap. Define and prioritize features by making the right trade-offs, aligning with the stakeholders and incrementally delivering value proposition for your customers
- Technical Expertise and Collaboration: Recognize the technical complexities and influence engineering teams in innovating a scalable technology solution that can impact your diverse customer. Closely work with UX design team in designing the product features
- Leadership Influence: Own your product discussions with senior leadership including articulating the key value proposition of your products, influence senior leadership in aligning on the product vision and direction
- Documentation: Creating / contributing on strategic documents including PR/FAQ, Product vision, strategy documents, operational plans. Develop other product materials including requirements document, design specifications, process flows, system diagrams, API definitions, user guides and manuals.
- Adoption driven through insights: Constantly monitor your product metrics and identify opportunities to improve / drive product adoption.

At Finance Automation Payables Technology team, we are passionate about building systems that deliver a seamless and transparent finance experience for our customers. We are responsible for building the systems and services that supports Amazon Finance Operations mission to pay vendors, payees and employees accurately and on time, compliant to various local regulations and tax laws via a highly controlled, scalable and automated process. We build and operate core technologies that enable Amazon to manage its payables business efficiently at scale, reduce time to market, and supports vendors worldwide. We are a talented global, diverse and inclusive team continuously striving to create positive impact on our customers.- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience technical product management
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
