Enviva is hiring a Receiving Operator to manage the receipt of wood pellets at their Chesapeake facility. You'll be responsible for quality testing, data recording, and ensuring safety standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to operate mobile equipment.
You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment. You have the ability to work multiple shift schedules and are comfortable operating mobile equipment such as Bobcat and Lull. Your communication skills allow you to interact professionally with suppliers and team members. You understand the importance of cleanliness and organization in the workplace, ensuring that all areas are kept neat and free of debris. You are proactive in identifying and escalating issues for resolution, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility.
As a Receiving Operator at Enviva, you will be responsible for receiving wood pellets into the port facility. This includes running quality tests and maintaining housekeeping duties to ensure the area is clean and organized. You will record data accurately to ensure proper billing and keep the scale area safe and compliant with safety criteria. You will also collect samples and test finished goods delivered by truck and rail, maintaining QA/QC records and following established quality standard operating procedures. Additionally, you will operate mobile equipment to manage dust collection and assist with general maintenance tasks as needed.
