Samsara is seeking a Mid-Market Account Executive to drive sales in the public sector. You'll engage with mid-sized customers to promote IoT solutions and sensor data benefits. This role requires strong negotiation skills and experience in selling to executives.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the mid-market segment, and are passionate about leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions. Your experience includes navigating complex sales cycles and engaging with multiple stakeholders, including executives and CXOs. You are results-driven and motivated by the opportunity to make a real-world impact through your work.
Experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) sector or related technology fields is a plus. Familiarity with public sector sales processes and the ability to articulate the value of sensor data to diverse audiences will set you apart. You are comfortable with POCs and multi-faceted pricing negotiations, and you have a knack for closing deals that drive significant revenue.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales efforts within the mid-market public sector. You will identify potential customers, engage them in meaningful conversations about how Samsara's IoT solutions can transform their operations, and guide them through the sales process. Your typical sales will range from $20k to $250k, requiring you to manage complex negotiations and build consensus among various stakeholders. You will work closely with the marketing and product teams to ensure that you have the right tools and resources to succeed.
You will also be expected to develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, utilizing CRM tools to track your progress and forecast sales accurately. Regularly reporting on your sales activities and outcomes will be essential, as will collaborating with your team to share insights and strategies that can enhance overall performance. You will play a key role in shaping the future of physical operations by bringing innovative solutions to mid-sized customers.
