Formlabs is seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineer to design and develop embedded systems and firmware. You'll work with C and C++ in Somerville, MA, contributing to innovative 3D printing technology. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics and embedded software development.
You are an electrical engineer or a software engineer with a solid understanding of electronics fundamentals and a passion for embedded systems. You have experience in designing circuits, sensors, and electromechanical systems, and you are comfortable developing embedded firmware for real-time control of hardware. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to learn and take on new challenges. You are encouraged to share examples of your work that demonstrate your skills and experience. You understand the impact of your work and are motivated to contribute to innovative projects that change how the world creates.
In this role, you will design and develop embedded systems and firmware, which includes research, specification, prototyping, validation, and production release. You will debug the hardware your code is running on, ensuring that the systems function as intended. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and teams to integrate your work into larger projects, contributing to the development of cutting-edge 3D printing technology. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and performance in your designs, and you will participate in regular code reviews and team meetings to discuss progress and challenges. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge with the team, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
