Overview

Amazon is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the brand and selection strategy for a new service in Japan's e-commerce landscape. You'll collaborate with various teams to drive selection acquisition and enhance the delivery experience. This role requires extensive experience in product management and strategic partnerships.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 12 years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology — you've successfully navigated complex projects and have a proven track record of driving results in fast-paced environments. Your background includes hands-on experience in category management, particularly in the grocery and perishable industries, which gives you a unique perspective on consumer needs and market trends. You are adept at strategic partnerships and supply chain management, understanding how these elements contribute to a seamless customer experience.

You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable working with data to uncover insights that inform brand and selection strategies. Your ability to communicate effectively with VP+ level stakeholders ensures that you can advocate for customer needs and drive initiatives that align with business goals. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with diverse teams to achieve common objectives and enhance the overall delivery experience for customers.

Desirable

Experience in the Japanese e-commerce market is a significant plus, as it allows you to identify brand and selection trends specific to the region. Familiarity with quick commerce and digital grocery spaces will enable you to contribute meaningfully to the strategy for Amazon's Quick Commerce category. You are passionate about creating the best-in-class customer experience and are always looking for innovative ways to improve service delivery.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive the strategy for Amazon's Quick Commerce category and selection growth in Japan. You will collaborate with various partner teams to manage inventory, supply chain logistics, and the delivery experience for a curated selection of products. Your insights into customer behavior and brand preferences will guide the selection acquisition process, ensuring that Amazon meets the evolving needs of its customers.

You will advise VP+ stakeholders on customer and brand insights within the Japanese digital grocery and quick commerce landscape, helping to shape the direction of new business models. Your responsibilities will include identifying trends in the commerce landscape and offline alternatives, which will inform strategic decisions and initiatives.

As part of the launch team for this new service, you will be instrumental in creating a best-in-Japan experience for customers. You will work closely with business development and category teams to drive selection acquisition and ensure that the product offerings align with customer expectations. Your role will also involve managing supporting functions such as supply chain and shopping customer experience, ensuring that all aspects of the service are optimized for success.

What we offer

At Amazon, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to inventing the future of e-commerce in Japan. We offer a dynamic work environment where innovation is encouraged, and your contributions will have a direct impact on the customer experience. You will have the opportunity to work with talented professionals across various disciplines, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

We believe in supporting our employees' growth and development, providing opportunities for career advancement and skill enhancement. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion ensures that all voices are heard and valued, creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. Join us in shaping the future of e-commerce and delivering exceptional experiences to customers across Japan.
