The Relay Operations Center (ROC) Tech Analytics team is seeking an exemplary Business Analyst with broad technical skills to develop data visualizations and build automation solutions that drive business decision making and process improvement.
The complexity of research and skills for a Business Analyst is well beyond basic data entry and extraction. It involves design and development of automated data pipelines, sophisticated analytical modeling and intuitive data visualization. This role will directly be responsible for maintaining front end code using Python, SQL, HTML, Java, and R, or other similar coding languages. This role will have high level visibility due to the nature of the tool sets being maintained, built, and the network impact of analysis conducted. This role has great exposure to a broad scope that can really help shape the future of operational fulfillment and promotes career progression.
Key job responsibilities
- Data extraction, manipulation and production from database tables (Data Warehouse)
- Automation and tool development using various programming languages
- Design and implementation of analytical models using statistical analysis
- Development of data visualization using commercial suites
- Generating/extracting data from our BI databases to support dive deep activities
- Prioritizing, optimizing and delivering timely updates for metrics
- Automating reports and tools with a combination of SQL, visualization tools
- Partnering with stakeholders to understand business challenges and provide data/analysis to help drive projects
- Uncovering trends and correlations through data mining and analysis to develop insights that can improve the business and help make effective decisions
- Building dashboards and tools that will allow our team and cross-functional partners to self-service their data needs whenever possible
- Graphically expressing data to allow easy access and understanding for a broad range of people
- Uncovering trends and correlations through data mining and analysis to develop insights that can improve the business and help make effective decisions
#NALH- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- 2+ years of experience in SQL- Master's degree in business or analytical discipline
- A proven track record of delivering initiatives from conception through completion on time, within budget and on or beyond scope;
- A clear passion for learning new business analysis techniques independently and continuously;
- Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results;
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical individuals.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
