Smartsheet is hiring a Tier 1 Security & Desktop Systems Specialist to manage cybersecurity defense and provide end-user support. You'll work with technologies like Windows and Linux while monitoring security events and resolving technical issues. This role is ideal for candidates with a security-first mindset.
You are a technically proficient individual with a security-first mindset, ready to provide 1st and 2nd tier support to investigate and resolve technical problems both remotely and onsite. You have experience in monitoring security events and triaging alerts, ensuring that you can execute predefined incident response playbooks effectively. Your familiarity with desktop systems, software, and hardware allows you to maintain a strong endpoint security posture while providing high-quality support to employees. You are flexible and adaptable, able to handle the demands of a hybrid work environment.
Experience with ticketing systems and maintaining data integrity is a plus. Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and practices will enhance your ability to respond to security incidents and support end-users effectively.
In this role, you will be the immediate responder for security alerts, providing critical support to the Corporate IT team. You will monitor security events 24/7, triage alerts, and execute incident response playbooks, such as endpoint isolation. Your responsibilities will include providing daily technical support to employees for internal desktop systems, software, and hardware. You will also monitor the request queue in the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of issues while maintaining passwords and file system security. Additionally, you will perform employee onboarding tasks, ensuring that new hires have the necessary access and support to start their roles effectively.
