Overview

ABC is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer to maintain technical excellence in cloud environments. You'll monitor infrastructure performance and respond to incidents using tools like AWS and Docker. This role requires strong experience in cloud operations and automation.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in infrastructure support, particularly in cloud environments — your expertise allows you to maintain operational efficiency and technical excellence while supporting clients through their transitions to agile practices. You understand the importance of shared responsibility and continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.

You are skilled in monitoring infrastructure performance and responding to incidents promptly — your proactive approach ensures that resources are maintained in line with modern standards, incorporating sustainable practices. You have a strong background in defining and documenting incident responses in collaboration with Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams and client stakeholders.

Your experience includes automating operations to reduce human effort in day-to-day tasks — you are adept at using the latest tech stacks to improve overall team efficiency. As a first responder to incidents in production environments, you execute appropriate responses based on established runbooks or your judgment.

You thrive in environments that require effective communication and coordination — you are comfortable setting up war rooms for incident response and engaging with support teams across all service functions to ensure seamless operations.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus — familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes will enhance your ability to succeed in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will monitor product and service operations against key performance indicators defined by the business — your vigilance will help detect deviations and initiate necessary actions to maintain service quality. You will be responsible for defining and documenting appropriate responses to various incident scenarios, ensuring that your team is prepared for any challenges that arise.

You will collaborate closely with the SRE team to prepare runbooks and improve incident response strategies — your insights will help shape the operational practices of the organization. You will also focus on reducing manual efforts through automation, leveraging your technical skills to streamline processes and enhance team productivity.

As the first responder to incidents, you will execute the appropriate response as established by runbooks or based on your judgment — your ability to think critically under pressure will be essential in high-value environments. You will initiate communication with support teams across all service functions, setting up war rooms for incident response and coordinating efforts to resolve issues efficiently.

What we offer

At ABC, you will be part of a culture that values curiosity, innovation, and collaboration — we believe that diverse teams build better products and encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals, including science graduates and seasoned technologists, all dedicated to continuous learning and improvement.

We offer a supportive environment where your career journey can flourish — our cultivation culture has won numerous awards, and we are committed to helping you thrive in your role. Join us and contribute to our mission of maintaining technical excellence and operational efficiency in cloud environments.
