Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support the operations of critical infrastructure systems in their data centers. You'll monitor and maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment, ensuring 24/7 reliability. This position requires a foundational understanding of AWS and related technologies.

You are detail-oriented and have a knack for troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring that systems run smoothly and efficiently. You thrive in team settings and are ready to collaborate with experienced professionals to enhance your skills.
In this role, you will perform daily building rounds to monitor and record information from various systems, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the reliability and availability of these systems 24/7. You will assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events, ensuring that all issues are resolved within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA). Additionally, you will be involved in performing rack installations and decommissioning, as well as conducting preventive maintenance and root cause analysis on electrical and mechanical equipment. Your technical writing skills will support the change management program, and you will monitor daily work requests to manage them to resolution.
