Unity is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to create user and developer documentation for their products. You'll collaborate with product managers and engineers to define content strategy and ensure clarity in technical communication. This role requires strong technical writing skills and experience in software development workflows.
You have a strong background in technical writing, with a focus on creating user-friendly documentation that translates complex concepts into clear language. Your experience includes working closely with product managers and engineers to understand technical content needs and advocate for user-focused workflows. You thrive in a collaborative environment and have a successful track record of delivering high-quality content in fast-paced software development settings. You possess technical depth and hands-on experience with software development workflows and concepts, allowing you to distill sophisticated technical concepts into easy-to-understand documentation. You are also capable of leading by example, providing guidance and coaching to less experienced writers, and managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.
In this role, you will create sets of technical content, including user and developer guides, API references, SDKs, and code samples for multiple products and features. You will contribute to the content strategy for complex content sets, ensuring that documentation is as clear, concise, accurate, and usable as possible. You will partner with product managers and engineers to understand each feature’s underlying technology, target audience, and documentation needs. Your advocacy for users during feature development will enhance workflows and make products easier to use. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards in documentation quality and usability, ensuring that your work is read, used, and trusted by a global audience.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products.
