You have a proven track record in category management, particularly in the food industry, with a focus on produce, herbs, and fruits. Your experience includes leading supplier negotiations and optimizing procurement processes to ensure cost efficiency and consistent supply chain performance. You are adept at identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and have a strong understanding of market dynamics and trends in the food sector. Your problem-solving skills enable you to address operational issues effectively and efficiently. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are excited about the challenge of optimizing procurement processes at scale.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of the subcategories across the Produce, Herbs & Fruits supply chain. You will lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms and ensure on-time, on-spec deliveries. Your responsibilities will include providing procurement advice, managing price updates, and maintaining compliance with supplier agreements. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to develop innovative and sustainable sourcing strategies. Additionally, you will research and develop relationships with new suppliers to enhance the supplier network country-wide for the category. You will assist with cost reporting, invoice validation, and supplier database maintenance, ensuring that all procurement activities align with the company's strategic goals. You will act as a point of escalation for operational issues, working closely with suppliers to resolve any challenges that arise. Your role will also involve identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within the procurement processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
