Uber is seeking a Senior Product Manager for their Mobility Marketplace team to design and improve pricing algorithms. You'll collaborate with engineers and data scientists, leveraging machine learning and data analysis skills. This role requires 5+ years of experience in a data-driven environment.
You have 5+ years of product management experience in a highly data-driven and algorithm-heavy environment — you've successfully defined and executed product roadmaps that drive significant business impact. Your strong technical background allows you to actively engage in creating and implementing pricing models and optimizing algorithms, ensuring that you can effectively collaborate with technical teams.
You are passionate about marketplace dynamics and algorithmic decision-making — you understand how to contextualize price and value signals for users, and you stay informed about industry trends and emerging best practices in machine learning and AI. Your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders sets you apart.
You thrive in collaborative environments — working closely with machine learning engineers, platform engineers, data scientists, finance, and operations is second nature to you. You are adept at identifying opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, and delivering outcomes that enhance pricing strategies and improve overall efficiency.
Experience in the mobility or transportation sector would be a plus, as would familiarity with advanced data modeling techniques. A background in computer science, mathematics, or statistics will help you excel in this role, as will any experience with A/B testing and user research methodologies.
In this role, you will define and execute the product roadmap and strategy for the Rider Pricing team, focusing on demand and cost modeling. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and drive the development of pricing algorithms that enhance rider experience and profitability. Your work will have high visibility across the company, and you will be expected to iterate rapidly based on real-time data and feedback.
You will stay on top of industry trends and emerging best practices in machine learning and AI, ensuring that Uber continues to lead in innovation. Your responsibilities will include conducting user research to understand rider behavior and preferences, as well as analyzing data to inform product decisions.
