Saronic is seeking a Commissioning Chief Engineer to oversee the operation of their mid-sized autonomous surface vessel, Marauder. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and maritime regulations.
You are a licensed Chief Engineer with extensive experience in marine engineering systems. Your strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities enable you to operate complex machinery independently. You have a steadfast commitment to safety and adhere to maritime regulations, ensuring the highest standards in vessel operations. You understand the intricacies of engine room operations and associated machinery, including propulsion systems and auxiliary equipment. Your ability to work independently on issues makes you a valuable asset in maintaining operational efficiency. You are dedicated to continuous learning and improvement in your field, always seeking to enhance your skills and knowledge.
In this role, you will be responsible for the operation of the engine room and all associated machinery on the Marauder. You will ensure that all marine systems, including the main propulsion system, auxiliary machinery, fuel oil system, lubrication, cooling system, and environmental equipment, are functioning optimally. You will monitor and troubleshoot any issues that arise, implementing solutions to maintain operational integrity. Your role will involve collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety protocols. You will also be responsible for conducting regular inspections and maintenance of the vessel's systems, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations. Your leadership will guide the team in achieving operational excellence and safety standards.
