Amazon is hiring a Cabling Infrastructure Technician to maintain and install cabling infrastructure for AWS data centers. You'll work with a diverse team to ensure network stability and safety standards. This role requires technical aptitude and the ability to work in various environments.
You have a strong technical aptitude and possess analytical and problem-solving skills that enable you to tackle complex challenges. Your clear written and verbal communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including software engineers and hardware specialists. You are capable of working independently and leading teams, demonstrating quick decision-making and effective prioritization skills. You are physically fit and able to lift/move 40 pounds independently, participate in team lifts for heavier items, and work in confined, elevated, and noisy environments.
As a Cabling Infrastructure Technician, you will be responsible for installing fiber and copper cabling, ensuring that all installations meet safety and security standards. You will complete equipment patching and maintain network stability and sustainability while developing automated scaling solutions. Your role will involve traveling between data centers, where you will operate material handling equipment safely and follow established installation procedures. You will collaborate with your team to deliver the highest safety and security standards while optimizing infrastructure costs.
