R&D Infrastructure Team Lead- Release Engineering

As a Software Development Team Leader in the Release Engineering Group in our Tel Aviv Office, you’ll play a vital role in developing and scaling one of the largest real-time, high-throughput systems in the world — supporting 1.4B users, handling 950K+ requests per second, and processing 140TB of new data daily.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• Lead and mentor a team of highly skilled developers, driving software development efforts from concept to delivery.
  
  
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and guidance to ensure personal and professional growth within your team.
  
  
• Tackle scaling challenges in our build systems — managing 8 million lines of code and 160,000 unit tests efficiently.
  
  
• Build and maintain self-service tools that empower developers and streamline release processes.
  
  
• Improve observability, monitoring, and logging to proactively detect and resolve performance issues.
  
  
• Manage and optimize containerization strategies using Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies.
  
  
• Leverage Gen-AI tools to accelerate development velocity across the R&D organization.
  
  
• Oversee the delivery of multiple complex projects from design through release, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  
  
• Maintain and scale a large release engineering infrastructure supporting 930 modules, hundreds of artifacts, and continuous deployments.
  
  

 

How you’ll make an impact:

• Proven experience in leading and managing software development teams.
  
  
• 5+ years of programming experience in Java or another object-oriented language.
  
  
• Strong background in system design, development, and delivery.
  
  
• Solid understanding of production systems and large-scale infrastructure.
  
  
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and drive alignment.
  
  
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  
  
• Passion for building and scaling complex release engineering systems.
