GitLab is seeking a Public Sector Strategic Account Executive to drive sales in the federal civilian sector. You'll leverage GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform to enhance software development for government organizations. This role requires experience in sales and a strong understanding of the public sector.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly within the public sector, and understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with federal civilian accounts. Your experience has equipped you with the skills to navigate complex procurement processes and build strong relationships with government stakeholders. You are adept at articulating the value of technology solutions and can effectively communicate how GitLab's offerings can meet the needs of federal agencies. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working with cross-functional teams to drive results. You are passionate about technology and its potential to transform how organizations operate, particularly in the public sector. You are results-oriented and have a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience with DevSecOps or AI-powered platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with GitLab's products. You may also have a background in software development or IT, which helps you understand the technical aspects of the solutions you are selling. A network of contacts within federal agencies can be beneficial, as well as a strong understanding of government contracting processes.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy for GitLab's offerings within the federal civilian sector. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your understanding of the public sector to tailor your approach. You will engage with key decision-makers, presenting GitLab's solutions and demonstrating their value in enhancing software development processes. You will collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment on messaging and positioning, and you will provide feedback from the field to inform product development. You will also track and report on sales metrics, ensuring that you are meeting your targets and contributing to the overall success of the organization. Your role will involve regular communication with clients to understand their needs and challenges, positioning GitLab as a trusted partner in their digital transformation journey.
