Overview

Google is seeking a Program Manager for their One Google Procurement Enablement team to lead cross-functional projects and drive process improvements. You'll utilize your project management skills and experience to ensure successful project execution in Chicago.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience, along with a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent. With at least 4 years of experience in management consulting or project management from a public accounting firm or multi-national company, you have a solid foundation in leading cross-functional projects and identifying process improvements. Your ability to develop and implement project management best practices and methodologies across an organization sets you apart. You excel in managing the full project life-cycle, from planning and scheduling to final execution and delivery. Your investigative skills are top-notch, allowing you to utilize data and KPIs to measure project performance and drive decision-making. You possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, bridging the gap between technical teams and executive leadership.

What you'll do

As a Program Manager at Google, you will be at the heart of the Google Procurement Organization (GPO), focusing on unlocking values that Google can reinvest in its strategic future. You will operate in a high-complexity setting, ensuring advanced buying outcomes by delivering velocity, efficiency, and security. Your role will involve leading impactful cross-GPO project teams, stakeholders, and leadership, ensuring transparency while keeping stakeholders informed about project progress, risks, and changes. You will monitor the performance of various programs and projects, tracking key metrics and generating reports for leadership to make informed decisions. Evaluating project outcomes against predefined goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be a critical part of your responsibilities.
