Engineering Manager - Release Monitoring

Your experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, equips you to make informed decisions about infrastructure and deployment strategies. You are a strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively with product, design, and backend teams to create user-friendly web experiences. You are driven by a desire to redefine how software is released, making it safer and more efficient for teams to ship code at scale.

Desirable

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus, as these tools are integral to the deployment processes you will oversee. Familiarity with observability tools and SDKs will also enhance your ability to lead the Release Monitoring team effectively.

What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for the Release Monitoring team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of software releases at LaunchDarkly. Your technical expertise will guide your team in leveraging LaunchDarkly’s Observability SDKs to measure user impact and make data-driven decisions about releases.

In this role, you will also focus on fostering a high-performing engineering culture. You will conduct regular one-on-ones with team members, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their professional goals. Your ability to inspire and motivate your team will be key to driving their success and the success of the projects you oversee.

You will be responsible for implementing best practices in software development, ensuring that your team adheres to high standards of quality and efficiency. Your insights into metrics monitoring and error tracking will help the team identify areas for improvement and optimize the release process.
