You have a strong background in electrical engineering with a focus on hardware design life cycles — your experience includes power and signal distribution design, particularly in the context of autonomous vehicles. You thrive in collaborative environments and can adapt quickly to changing requirements, making you an effective team player.
Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you approach challenges with critical thinking and a detail-oriented mindset — you understand the importance of time management and can work independently as well as part of a team. You are comfortable working in high-paced environments and can effectively communicate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Experience with system architecture and specifications is a plus, as is familiarity with generating system diagrams and electrical schematics. If you have a knack for creating detailed component and system qualification test plans, you will fit right in. Your ability to oversee testing processes will be invaluable in this role.
In this role, you will quickly gain a deep understanding of the system architecture and specifications to implement detailed electrical designs for the autonomous vehicle system into the vehicle platform. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to troubleshoot, test, and resolve electrical and system issues in prototype vehicles and test fixtures.
You will support product design reviews and ensure that all electrical designs meet the necessary specifications and standards. Your responsibilities will include generating wiring harness diagrams and assisting with assembly and build documentation, ensuring that all components are correctly integrated into the vehicle platform.
Additionally, you will create and execute detailed qualification and validation test plans for components and systems, overseeing the testing process to ensure compliance with design specifications. Your role will also involve collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to gather the necessary details for proper connections and system integration.
At Motional, you will be part of a team that is committed to innovation and excellence in the field of autonomous vehicles.
