DoorDash is seeking a Manager for SMB Business Development - Retention to lead strategic partnership initiatives with restaurant partners. This role requires strong negotiation skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in business development, particularly in managing key partnerships and driving retention strategies. Your strategic mindset allows you to navigate complex negotiations and ensure long-term success for your partners. You possess strong leadership skills, having led teams in previous roles, and you are committed to fostering growth and effectiveness within your team. Your ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various departments such as Product, Strategic Finance, and Legal is essential for executing high-stakes deal strategies. You are adaptable and open to travel as needed for in-person collaboration and team-building events.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the SMB Business Development team in managing pivotal partnership moments with strategic restaurant partners. You will own the execution of high-impact deal strategies that drive retention and exclusivity, ensuring that partners maximize their potential on the DoorDash platform. Your responsibilities will include overseeing contract renewals and negotiations, as well as enhancing product adoption during critical phases of the partnership lifecycle. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Top Restaurant Partnerships and will be expected to mentor and guide your team of four direct reports, focusing on their professional development and success in partnership engagements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and effectiveness in all partnership initiatives.
