Careem is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing and vendor management in Jordan. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient procurement operations. This role requires experience in procurement processes and vendor relations.
You have experience in procurement and vendor management, ideally within the tech or service industry. You understand the importance of timely and cost-effective procurement processes and have a knack for building strong vendor relationships. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to analyze spend data effectively to identify savings and efficiencies. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. You are familiar with procurement policies and compliance requirements, ensuring that all sourcing activities align with organizational standards. You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance procurement operations.
In this role, you will execute sourcing activities, including RFQs and RFPs, to select suppliers that meet Careem's needs in Jordan and Egypt. You will manage vendor relationships, ensuring their performance aligns with Careem's expectations and standards. You will support contract drafting and negotiation, working closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all agreements are in line with procurement policies. Analyzing spend data will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you will identify opportunities for savings and process improvements. You will collaborate with internal teams to streamline procurement operations and enhance overall efficiency. Your role will also involve onboarding new vendors and tracking their performance to ensure compliance with Careem's standards. You will be part of a dynamic team that is focused on making procurement processes more efficient and effective.
