Google is seeking a SoC ATE Test Engineer to develop and deploy test solutions for high volume manufacturing. You'll work with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role requires a background in electrical engineering and experience in test engineering.
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and have at least 2 years of experience in test engineering or product engineering. Your expertise includes working with industry-standard tools, languages, and methodologies relevant to silicon-based ICs and chips. You have experience in ATE test development for New Product Introduction (NPI) or High Volume Manufacturing (HVM), and you are familiar with Scan/Automatic Test Pattern Generation testing, Memory Built-In Self Test (MBIST) testing, and High-Speed Input/Output (HSIO) ATE testing.
You possess knowledge of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) platforms such as Advantest V93K or Teradyne UltraFlex, and you are eager to contribute to a team that pushes boundaries in developing custom silicon solutions. You have a collaborative spirit and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to build, deploy, and maintain HVM screening solutions.
A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, along with 8 years of experience in test engineering or product engineering. Your background includes extensive experience with ATE board and socket debugging, and you are comfortable participating in ATE test deployment and optimization for HVM.
In this role, you will help build the Security Operation Centers (SoCs) that power Google's data centers by developing and deploying test solutions with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for high volume manufacturing at wafer fabrications and outsourced semiconductor assembly. You will collaborate with the NPI product development and test team, vendors, and HVM product engineering to ensure successful test deployments.
You will participate in the optimization of ATE test processes, working closely with cross-functional teams across the globe, including ATE and SLT Test Engineering, Packaging, Supplier Management, and Operations. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing processes, ensuring that the products meet the high standards expected by Google.
At Google, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to innovation and excellence in technology. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that shape the future of hardware experiences. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Join us in our mission to deliver unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration in our products.
