Overview

Formlabs is hiring a Hardware Compliance Engineer to ensure their 3D printing products meet safety and regulatory standards globally. You'll collaborate with design engineers and product managers to establish compliance strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial product regulations.

Who you are

You have a solid foundation in industrial product regulations and a keen ability to translate guidelines into engineering requirements. Your experience allows you to review product designs for compliance effectively, ensuring that safety and regulatory standards are met across various geographies. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with design engineers, product managers, and manufacturing engineers to drive compliance strategies throughout the product lifecycle. Your analytical skills enable you to identify relevant standards and navigate complex regulatory landscapes with ease. You are detail-oriented and possess strong project management skills, allowing you to manage compliance certification strategies efficiently. You are excited about the opportunity to further develop your regulatory and quality assurance expertise in a hands-on role.

Desirable

Experience in the 3D printing industry or similar fields would be a plus, as would familiarity with international compliance standards. A background in engineering or a related technical field will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team. You are adaptable and eager to learn, ready to take on new challenges as the company expands its market presence.

What you'll do

As a Hardware Compliance Engineer at Formlabs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our innovative 3D printing products meet the necessary safety and regulatory standards in over 40 countries. You will partner with cross-functional teams to establish and execute compliance certification strategies, guiding products from conception through to market introduction. Your responsibilities will include leveraging your knowledge of industrial product regulations to identify applicable standards and translating these into actionable engineering requirements. You will review product designs for compliance, ensuring that all safety and regulatory criteria are met before products reach the market. You will also engage in continuous learning to stay updated on evolving regulations and compliance standards, adapting strategies as necessary to maintain our competitive edge.
